More on Purpose
Objections
We know that there may be conscious objectors to our cause. When it comes to difficult kids, there might be those who say things like, “They made their bed, so let them lie in it.” “I want to help, but most non-profits don’t make that big a difference.” “I already have my cause that I support.” or “There are bigger problems in the world – kids are dying in Africa.”
We think that having objectors is healthy – we all choose to get involved in different ways – and our plight is one among many.
There are over 160,000 non-profits and voluntary organizations in Canada alone… so why jump in with the Push for Change?
Legacy
We hope you will get involved because this will be more than a single trek with a singular purpose – it is a project that will leave a legacy of sustainable change. We see people using their involvement in this project as a springboard to jump into bigger things in their lives, which will make a difference to others. We see that the initial experience of taking action and making a difference for troubled youth will inspire you to change your thinking and your doing in positive ways, permanently.
Brilliance
We believe in Human Brilliance, the idea that everybody has possibilities within them, which may currently be hidden from view. We see this potential brilliance in youth and we will create a legacy project that addresses the causal factors of homelessness and bolsters resources needed to reach homeless youth.
Imagine the difference we can make, if we do this together!
We share an unshakeable belief that change and transformation are possible with the right resources, the right people and the right purpose. Having witnessed transformation in our own and others’ lives, personally and professionally, we have developed a passion for helping others see that there is more to them than they currently see, and have become obsessed with teaching the process around putting those unseen possibilities into action to achieve big goals!
We believe that creating a movement to help @risk youth fits our passion and serves our obsession.
