With the holidays behind us and our batteries fully charged we look ahead with optimism and nervous excitement. 2015 was a great year of planning and partnership building. We secured a large percentage of the dollars we need to operate, built community partners in cities and communities across Canada and refined our fundraising strategy. Personally I spent countless hours training and conditioning, listening to experts and planning for the daunting task of walking across the second widest country on the planet.
As I look at the team we have amassed I am grateful and humbled by the expertise we have attracted. With Rob Cook as our Road Manager, Sean Richardson overseeing Mental Resiliency and Physical Training, our myriad of community partners planning events across Canada and of course Marie McDonald as our Campaign Manager who is overseeing more responsibilities than I can possibly list.
Today we are 109 days away from our kick off in St John’s NL.
George Bernard Shaw once wrote:
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
Our intention is to change some minds!
