Joe Roberts

Joe Roberts is an inspirational example of overcoming adversity and managing change.

In 1989, he was living under a bridge, a homeless drug addict on skid row. Today he is an advocate, author and the Executive Director of The Push for Change.

Joe has witnessed human behaviour at its depths and its peaks, in personal and professional life, and he has captured his experiences in thought-leading principles that are critical to success.

He is the former President and CEO of a successful multimedia company. Joe is a well polished inspirational speaker that has delivered his keynote to over 1,000,000 people over the last 15 years.

He is committed to helping young people break through their most difficult barriers and is the perfect front man for The Push for Change.

Marie Roberts

Marie provides the administrative support to The Push for Change. During the 17 month trek her main role will be Campaign Director, which will include managing the team, the budget, volunteers and in general being the go-to-person for all Trek-related operations. She is Joe’s champion and support person.

Her natural passion to help others and zest for universal love was the foundation for Marie’s quickly developed passion of The Push for Change, especially since homelessness and addiction is a long-term issue in her own family.

Dr. Sean Richardson

board03-seanSean is a performance psychologist, with a PhD in the sport psychology of excellence, he intuitively understands what starts and stops people from succeeding. He is a former elite athlete and an expert in High Performance. He is a consultant to CEOs, Executive Leaders, Olympians and professional athletes.

Sean facilitates high performance leadership development to get teams communicating and collaborating effectively, adhering to the highest standards of compliance, executing with maximum accountability, and achieving both individual and organizational goals.

Sean’s contribution to The Push for Change is as a team-mate to Joe, training partner, friend, professional advisor, and strategic partner on everything that will make this project a success. Sean brings the experience of building high performance mindsets combined with the competency necessary for dealing with the inevitable psychological roadblocks that stand in our way.

Steven Allmen

board04-stevenSteve Allmen has over twenty five years of experience working with leading companies in the Loyalty, Retail, Telecom, Financial Services and Marketing sectors. His experience in delivering strategic partnerships and business solutions has enabled companies to achieve results and build market leadership through innovative use of technology and business strategy. Steve has practical business experience across multiple industries having held senior positions at AIMIA, Aeroplan Canada (An AIMIA Company) The Hudson’s Bay Company, Air Miles and Compusearch Micromarketing.

Steve also sits as a board member of the Humber Valley Hockey Association in Toronto and is the Vice President of the GTHL, a competitive division for the association, and he is a Director for NetCents; a Vancouver based Payments Technology firm.

Steve is a graduate of York University.

Scott Paton

board05-scottScott Paton is the owner of Designer Media Solutions, a metro Vancouver online marketing company, specializing in iPhone Apps, Newstand magazines, Podcasting, Blogging, Social Media promotions, and video marketing.

He held management positions in a major Canadian grocery chain before enabling on his own. Past President of the Rotary Club of Hecate Strait in Prince Rupert, Scott was also a member of the Vernon and Vancouver Chinatown Rotary Clubs.

He has dedicated significant time to helping NGO’s and Non-profits, including CUSO and the BC Council for International Cooperation in Canada, plus training NGO’s in Rwanda and Belize.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
